Afternoon Tea at Holycross Abbey

Saturday 9th March 2pm to 5pm. The upstairs Dormitory at Holycross Abbey is the perfect place to spend some time enjoying Afternoon Tea with family and friends. From the soaring arches of the hand-crafted dormitory ceiling to the beautiful old China table settings you will be at home in this beautiful Abbey building.
What to expect: You will be welcomed by a fragrant pot of tea, or the delightful smell of specially selected coffee. Followed by delicate sandwiches and a savoury delight of sausage roll from The Stables in Holycross. For those with a sweeter tooth, Borna Hand Made Scones served with delicious Glenbane homemade Raspberry Jam and Thurles cream is a must. Finally a delightful array of specially selected sweet treats have been carefully chosen such as Buckleys Lemon drizzle followed by tantalising mixture of chocolate delights. We believe that Afternoon Tea is the perfect way to take some time out from the busy world around you, and to truly relax and indulge. This time is all about enjoying the lovely things in life with family and friends. Time slows down and the art of conversation is revived.

After a lovely Afternoon Tea in the Dormitory at Holycross Abbey, the Abbey Tour Guides will be available to give a  free whistle stop tour of the unique features of this historic building.
